CUSTOMS REGULATIONS Tajikistan

  • The consignee should be present at the destination and should have a valid visa.
  • The consignee should be employed by a registered company in Tajikistan.
  • All kinds of electronic and electrical appliances should be clearly marked on the packing list along with serial numbers.
  • The allowance limit for the import of wine and spirits for personal consumption is two liters per head.
  • Do not send insurance or any other documents showing true value of the goods along with the shipment to avoid payment of heavy import duties.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

  • Waybill
  • Packing list in English or Russian
  • Copy of the passport
  • Copy of valid visa
  • Copy of Diplomatic card
  • Power of attorney
  • Employment verification

MOTOR VEHICLES

Vehicles and motor cycles can be imported duty and tax free on temporary import basis. Sale of the temporary imported vehicles and motor cycles is not permitted and must be exported out of Tajikistan at the end consignee’s tenure. Permanent import of auto cars and motor cycles are subject to the tax and duties as per customs tariff. Documents required:

  • Waybill
  • Pro-forma invoice
  • Original Technical passport
  • Copy of passport
  • Copy of Diplomatic card

PETS

Import of pets is allowed. The following documents are required for at least 10 working days prior to pets’ arrival:

  • Vaccination certificate
  • Veterinary certificate

PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • Weapons of all kinds
  • Pornography
  • Narcotics
  • Toxic material
  • Radioactive material
  • Precious jewels, stones and currency can be imported only as accompanied baggage and must be declared with the customs at the airport. The declaration will be required for presentation to the customs authorities at the time of departure.
