CUSTOMS REGULATIONS
- Customer must be in Mauritius when goods arrive. Goods must be used and in the possession of the customer for more than one year.
- All import shipments are subject to additional charges
- Customs systematically inspect all containers arriving in the country. These inspections have resulted in demurrage, parking fees, and inspection fees between $100 and $200.

- Import permit through "Ministry of Trade & Shipping"
- Original registration book
- Duty rates on autos for a returning resident will be 15% on CIF value, plus 9.6% Sales Tax on CIF, plus duty. The value will be assessed by customs after the verification of the autos.

Counterfeit or fake goods

Medications (a personunder medical treatment may bring medications provided it is supported by a valid prescription issued by a recognized medical practitioner)
